What originally attracted me to apply for the position at Fisher & Paykel Finance was the advertisement which stated that you would be working with people from a broad range of age and ethnic backgrounds.

You would be surprised at the variety of people and inquiries we deal with in any one day. This is what makes the job interesting and you are always learning new skills.

As an employer, Fisher & Paykel Finance provide a number of benefits. I joined the superannuation scheme because of the benefits provided to me through employer contributions.

We are encouraged by our Team Managers to go on appropriate courses which provide career development and there is a good spirit within the Call Centre when we have promotions going, whether it is a cardholder's day where the bosses cook barbeque lunches, through to targeted email drives.

I have worked for Fisher & Paykel Finance for over four years. In this time I have found the company to very supportive of my needs and they encourage me to do my best. They were very supportive when I returned from Maternity leave and ensured that I had a good work life balance.

The culture is fun and enjoyable. Team morale is high. We are fortunate to have a team of employees called the 'WISH Team'. They organise our amusing office events, which promote friendly competitions and improve motivation.

Fisher & Paykel Finance encourages further development in the company, by using in-house advertising to notify us about current work opportunities, and offering work-related courses and qualifications. I am in the process of completing my Level 3 NCCCO Certificate; this certificate will recognise my skills and knowledge in the contact centre industry.

They also encourage on-going training. I personally have completed the NCCCO Level 3 while working at Fisher & Paykel Finance.

MIKE - SENIOR COLLECTIONS OPERATOR

Whilst working with Fisher & Paykel Finance, I have achieved accomplishments I never thought I would. In 2008 I completed level 3 NCCCO and in 2009 I will sit the assessors course so I can eventually guide others through the programme.

Fisher & Paykel Finance have so much to offer, more so than any other employer I've worked with. The chance to grow within the company is encouraged by my seniors. The support I have received so far reflects the kind of culture I was looking for in an employer.
